Lookbook for Marietta Walterscheid-Müller

The collection “Battle of the Roots” is connected to the origin of the Marietta Walterscheid-Müller. The characterising apron of the German Folklore plays a crucial role and is redesigned and deconstructed in different ways throughout the collection. The Bavarian costumes served as an inspiration for trimmings such as gatherings, pleats and knitting. However, people are determined by experience and environments. Boundries are blurred and people are stigmatized. That´s why the collection is based on war and military. The two sources of inspiration are connected through the desperate fight whether for freedom or the maintenance of the roots.
